Historical Context
In the early civilizations sandals were the common footwear until the shoes we introduced by the mountain people who lived on the border of Iran. The mountain people made the shoes to protect their feet from cold weather and they used animals they had killed. Until the 1800’s shoes were more commercialized as they were stocked up in warehouses from different shoe makers. By the late 19th century the shoemaking industry were produced by factories and was increasingly mechanized. Nowadays companies have factories all over the world treating workers with horrible working conditions and little to no pay.
