Local Context
My issue impacts Chicago because it’s the same impact it has as it does in any other city. A shoe carbon footprint is more than 60, therefore it harms our environment in Chicago because obviously everyone has a pair of shoes that cause that impact. There’s already a lot of pollution going on in Chicago do to factories, but when you order shoes or go buy new ones in your own it only increases the carbon footprint.
